About Us

Sixty1 was founded in 2007 and is a North Carolina-based 501c3 Public Charity (EIN 38-3764539) Since 2004 the founders have worked overseas and committed their lives to relieving human suffering in the world. We have seen women and children starving in the Kashmere region because of an earthquake that devastated hundreds of thousands of lives. We have witnessed young children begging on the streets for money because they have no family to speak of; seen young girls in bars and brothels soliciting men for sex so they can eat that night, embraced lepers with withered hands and feet; and we’ve held the hands of many innocent women and children dying of AIDs in Africa as they breathed their last breath.

The vision for Sixty1 is to send and support individuals who can fill in the gaps and partner alongside existing organizations. The focus of Sixty1’s efforts will be on sex trafficking, slave trade, orphans, and other impoverished, suffering, and suppressed peoples. Individuals sent out will be trained, prepared, and empowered as they function as hope emissaries to a variety of cultures, nations, and ethnicities. Sixty1 wants to help rescue enslaved individuals and offer them the choice of freedom. Sixty1 wants to promote and provide healing, education, and teach marketable skills so that men, women, and children have choices.

With your help we know we can change the world one orphan, one slave, one family at a time.
